About us
Who we are
The Union Church of Monterrey is an inter-denominational, evangelical Protestant church dedicated to ministering to the English-speaking community in Monterrey. The church is completely autonomous. Our congregation is international: a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic church family made up of Mexicans, Americans, Europeans, Asians and people from many other parts of the world.
Many of our members are in Monterrey for a few years for work, so our church family is always changing. We invite everyone who comes to visit, live or work here to worship with us and find a spiritual home away from home.
The unique blend of denominational backgrounds offers opportunity for a fully ecumenical expression of our Christian faith.
Our mission
To bring all people into the saving knowledge of our Lord and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to bind together followers of Jesus Christ for the purpose of sharing in the worship of God, and to make Jesus Christ better known, better loved and better served in all aspects of life throughout the world.
Leadership
The church is governed by its Administrative Board: the pastor, elders, deacons, stewards and other ministry leaders, elected by the congregation.
- Elders care for the spiritual life of the church and advise the pastor.
- Deacons look after fellowship, care of the sick, visitation, and the church's charitable and missionary outreach.
- Stewards look after the church's finances and property.
